Jakiś czas temu zaktualizowałem system i od tego czasu zaczął występować problem z NM.
Mianowicie korzystam z modemu 3g na usb i jak rozłączę połączenie to NM przestaje widzieć modem. Oczywiście moduł jest ttyUSB są w /dev. Podejrzewam, że może być to spowodowane błędnym działaniem Modem Managera ponieważ po zabiciu jego procesu już nie wstaje. Wcześniej MM automatycznie wstawał. Pomaga wyciągnięcie i włożenie modemu ponownie co utwierdza mnie w przekonaniu, że to jakiś problem z MM/dbus (może się mylę).
Zna może ktoś rozwiązanie tego problemu lub ma jakieś sensowne namiary na jakąś dokumentację MM? Niestety poza ogólnikami nic nie znalazłem.
EDIT
Wyłączenie NM i uruchomienie go przywraca możliwość ustanowienia połączenia - NM wtedy znowu widzi modem. Dalej jednak nie znam przyczyny i nie potrafię rozwiązać problemu właściwie.

Problem się rozwiązał sam po instalacji Network Managera z backportów.
Widocznie to bug który w Squeeze się pojawił, a w późniejszych wersjach został naprawiony i wersja 0.8.4.0-2~bpo60+1 już go nie zawiera. Zachowanie podobne do znanego buga z Fedory i Ubuntu więc to pewnie to. Można rzec, że jednak nie wszystkie aktualizacje w stable są tak solidnie przetestowane skoro mała poprawka do NM zepsuła go...
