Posiadam bezprzewodową myszką i klawiaturę. W klawiaturze nie mam polskich znaków pomaga
setxkbmap pl

Dopisz setxkbmap pl do ~/.bashrc

Nie podziałało dalej nie ma polskich znaków.
Offline
dopisz do
~/.xinitrc
Dla pewności też tutaj:
To launch custom applications when Xfce starts up, click the Applications Menu > Settings > Settings Manager and then choose the Session and Startup option and click the tab Application Autostart. You will see a list of programs that get launched on startup. To add an entry, click the Add button and fill out the form, specifying the path to an executable you want to run.[/quote]

Edit:
A w .bashrc mam:
setxkbmap -model evdev -layout pl setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout pl setxkbmap -layout pl -variant altgr-intl -option nodeadkeys export LC_ALL=pl_PL export LANG=pl_PL export LANGUAGE=pl_PL export LANG="pl_PL.ISO-8859-2" export LANGUAGE=pl_PL.UTF-8 export LC_COLLATE="C" export LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8

Jeśli chcesz aby startowało automatycznie to daj je do autostartu środowiska graficznego, którego używasz...
W XFCE:
MENU-> Ustawienia->Sesja i uruchamianie -> Automatyczne uruchamianie
Jeśli chcesz w konsoli PL literki to rekonfiguracja locales i console-data Cię czeka.

$ locale LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE= LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 LC_NUMERIC=en_US.UTF-8 LC_TIME=en_US.UTF-8 LC_COLLATE=C LC_MONETARY=en_US.UTF-8 LC_MESSAGES=C LC_PAPER=en_US.UTF-8 LC_NAME=en_US.UTF-8 LC_ADDRESS=en_US.UTF-8 LC_TELEPHONE=en_US.UTF-8 LC_MEASUREMENT=en_US.UTF-8 LC_IDENTIFICATION=en_US.UTF-8 LC_ALL=

$ egrep -v "^#" /etc/locale.gen en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8 pl_PL.UTF-8 UTF-8

Offline
Jeśli to jest faktycznie wina oszczędzania energii, to można to zweryfikować przez dopisanie do /etc/modprobe.d/modules.conf poniższego parametru:
options usbcore autosuspend=-1
