Samoczynnie odmontowujący się dysk zewnętrzny USB

Witam,

mam taki problem z dyskiem zewnętrznym USB: raz na jakiś czas samoczynnie się odmontowuje. Myślę co by tu na to poradzić i nie wiem za bardzo co wymyślić. Może jakiś skrypcik, który by sprawdzał co jakiś czas czy dysk jest zamontowany i w przypadku, gdy stwierdzi, że dysk nie jest zamontowany to wykona komendę zamontowania? Albo jakieś inne rady. Z góry dzięki.

Coś w syslogu może pisze? Wątpię by się dysk tak sam z siebie odmontowywał bez wyraźnego polecenia.

Pewnie autosuspend portu USB powoduje cyrki, dysk albo system  w takim przypadku może potraktować sprawę jako odłączenie urządzenia.
Zwłaszcza dysk może nerwowo traktować uśpienie portu.
Na każdym porcie można włączyć/wyłączyć autousypianie.

Dysk mam dopisany do fstab, więc montuje się na starcie:

/dev/sdb6       /media/dysk-usb ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0       0

Litera dysku zmienia się po odmontowaniu na wyższą w alfabecie - dlatego w fstab jest sdb6 a w syslogu sdd6 i sde6.

Wydałem tę komendę z podanego linka, teraz więc wygląda to tak:

Dysk jednak znów się odmontował. I to w trakcie jego używania. Słuchałem muzyki mp3 i nagle przestało grać.

Na WINSHIT'cie ten dysk tak samo się zatrzymuje, czy to tylko na Linuxie takie kfiatki?
Może dyzio ma jakiś tryb oszczędzania energii, niezbyt kompatybilny z Linuxem?
Na inne systemy do tego dyzia dają jakiś extra sterownik?

Pytam, bo może to jakaś nowa "super technologia".

Czy ten dyzio jest zasilany z USB, czy z innego źródła?
Istnieje też możliwość, że czasami coś się nie wyrabia prądowo, i stąd takie przerwy, i gubienie dysku.
W takim przypadku, jeśli udev gubi dysk, to go montuje jeszcze raz.
Z tego wynikają coraz to nowe literki.

I radziłbym szukać conieco o dyziu w /var/log/kern.log albo w dmesg, czyli w logach kernela.
W syslogu zazwyczaj ląduje masło, mydło i powidło.

To jest dysk od komputera stacjonarnego podłączony do laptopa za pomocą przejściówki SATA->USB plus zasilacz sieciowy. Do tej przejściówki była dołączona płyta ze sterownikami, ale tylko windowsowymi. Windowsa mam tylko na wirtualnej maszynie, więc nie wiem jak tam się zachowuje. W /var/log/kern.log są dodatkowe błędy:

Ten I/O error dostaję nieraz w powiadomieniach środowiska graficznego w trakcie zapisywania jakichś danych, jeśli akurat wtedy się odmontuje.

Kiedy ten dysk służył jako główny dysk w komputerze stacjonarnym nie było z nim nigdy żadnych problemów - dopiero po podłączeniu do laptopa przez prześciówkę USB zaczął się odmontowywać - podejrzewam, że ten sposób podłączenia może powodować błędy. Przydałby się jakiś skrypt podmontowujący automatycznie dysk w przypadku samoczynnego odmontowania, coś ala wznawianie zerwanego połączenia internetowego tylko w odniesieniu do montowania dysku.

Miałem kiedyś podobne problemy (dysk się czasem nie chciał zamontować, czasem odmontowywał się w trakcie pracy) - winnym okazał się kabelek USB ;)

W moim przypadku wymiana kabla nie wchodzi w grę, bo to jest przejściówka i musiałbym ją całą wymienić. Trudno, pomęczę się do czasu wymiany laptopa na nowszy.
