hmm... >2.6 nie widzi dysku?
nie rozumiem tego. Mam dwa jajka 2.4 i próbowałem się przesiąść na 2.6 - konkretnie na 2.6.18-3-686, ale na każdym idzie teoretycznie bez żadnego problemu (instalacja), a w trakcie bootowania:

nie bardzo wiem, czego się uczepić, by doprowadzić to jądro do jakiegoś sensownego stanu. Wogóle jak wcześniej próbowałem instalować testing bezpośrednio z płytki, to instalator wywalił czerwony ekran z komunikatem w stylu

W jadrach wersji 2.6 zmienila sie z lekka filozofia podejscia do dyskow. Po szczegoly odsylam do dokumentacji i google.
W kazdym razie jak widzisz w logach, kernel 2.6 widzi twoj dysk jako sda wiec logiczne jest, ze w fstab musisz zmienic wpisy z hda na sda.

no dobra, ale jak teraz zmięnię hda na sda, to jak uruchomię system na jajku 2.4, jeśli okaże się, że to nie to i na 2.6 też nie wstanie?

no coz....wtedy tylko siasc i formatowac. ;->
A powaznie. Bierzesz jakiegos knoppixa czy innego linuxa livecd, uruchamiasz, montujesz partycje z /etc, edit fstab i restart. No prosciej nie wyjasnie. ;->

heh :) ubuntu liveCD 6.06 też nie wstaje :) musiałbym ściągnąć cosik innego... trudno spróbuje... wkońcu, żeby coś poznać, trzeba to zepsuć :P

joj... wstało. Obeszło się bez zmiany fstab. Wystartowałem system ręcznie z lini poleceń grubaska dokonując drobnej modyfikacji względem automatycznych wpisów, a mianowicie:
root (hd0,0) //enter;
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-3-686 root=/dev/[b]sda1[/b] ro //enter;
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.18-3-686 //enter;
boot //enter;[/quote]
i oto stał się sud ;)
teraz zmienię odpowiednio wpisy w menu.lst i walczę dalej :)

jednak [b]liare[/b] miał 100% racji moje rozwiązanie pozwala wprawdzie zachować jajko 2.4, ale przez to 2.6 jest trochę ułomne i nie widzi mojego winshita, przemieniłem wpisy w fstab na sda i teraz wszystko jest ok, a jajo 2.4 wywalam. Jeszcze raz wielkie dzięki. Może właśnie uratowałeś mój egzam z fizy, bo tak nie byłbym wstanie się uczyć, dopóki bym tego nie rozgryzł ;)

miałem podobny problem jak Ronin. zmieniłem wpisy w fstab i grubie, ale jak komp wstaje podaje:
